Visit the famous Red and White Beaches

Santorini is blessed with many excellent beaches, and your cruise will begin with two amongst the most famous: Red Beach and White Beach. Named for the color of their cliffs and sand, both are great places to enjoy swimming and snorkeling with the equipment provided.

Pass by Akrotiri lighthouse

Next, you’ll sail past Akrotiri lighthouse, which is one of the oldest lighthouses in Greece built by the French in 1892. Below the lighthouse, you can admire the sea caves and beautiful rock formations of the southern coastline of Santorini.

The Santorini Hot Springs are one of the island’s most popular attractions and sometimes is fun to follow the tourist trends. Swimming in the Hot Springs constitutes a pastime included in most boat tours of the Caldera so you cannot miss it. If you decide to swim in the hot springs, bear in mind that the water is rich in sulfur which has several health benefits, and people suffering from skin conditions such as psoriasis, dermatitis, and fungal infections can benefit from bathing at Palea Kameni. EXPLORE THIRASSIA ISLAND

The island of Thirassia is located in close proximity to Santorini and, in fact, it used to be indissoluble part of Santorini. The volcanic eruption that happened at around 1500 B.C. broke Santorini into many pieces and Thirassia emerged as one of those. Thirassia is today a virgin island, still untouched by tourism and modern lifestyle. The island of Thirassia is only 9 sq. km in size and has only one hundred and fifty permanent inhabitants. Manolas village is the capital of Thirassia. Other settlements include Korfos, Riva and Potamos. Manolas has small, picturesque houses painted in various colors. The virgin beaches and the pure nature are the main attractions of Thirassia. A walk through villages can also be a wonderful experience, as in front of the houses there are big gardens with colorful blossoms.

EXPERIENCE THE CALDERA SUNSET

One of the relatively overlooked, however most worthwhile experience is spending your time on board during sunset. During this magical hour of the day the lighting makes everything look more spectacular. Santorini is famous for it’s sunsets and pleople from all over the world visit the island in order to cherish this magnificent time of the day.
